BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on June 4, Sunday launched a scathing attack against Congress saying the party, if comes to power, would take the state backwards and undo all the growth and development achieved by government in the last nine years. He addressed a massive public meeting at Nirmal after inaugurating the district collector office complex and opening some  development schemes.

“Whom do you want? Our BRS which has developed Telangana on all fronts in these years or them who want to spoil all the growth?” he asked the public, evoking response that “BRS!” from the crowds. KCR said the Congress was saying that they want to scrap Dharani portal for land reforms, if they come to power. “Do we want to give them power so that the old village administration full of corruption is back?” asked the CM, and the public shouted, “No!”.

Here are some more highlights of KCR’s speech at Nirmal.

• We achieved tremendous results with the collective efforts of all in the seperate Telangana state
• Administration has been brought at the door steps of people by creating four districts..
• Adilabad district is already flourishing with four medical colleges. The Asifabad district, which covered with full of forest reserve, will also have a Medical College soon. It all happens in the Telangana State only. This would not have happened if Telangana continued to be a part of the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh in another 50 years. We are also aware of it.
• Today, Telangana is number one in Per Capita Income in the country.
• The Telangana state is also top in the country in power per capita consumption.
• Mukhara(K) village in Adilabad district made us all proud by clinching huge number of awards in the country.
• Telangana achieved many milestones in water supply, electricity supply and other sectors.
•Per capita consumption of electricity and Per capita income are considered as the main factors in Human Index Development in the world.
• There is a saying – ‘If you look at the portico, you will know about the condition of a house’. The growth in per capita income and per capita power utilization are the testimony of the progress the Telangana state achieved.
• Telangana is also far ahead of the advanced states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat which existed since long. The development could not be done by one person. It is possible because of the collective efforts of all of us.

Done a lot, to be done much more”

• It would be a big mistake if we were overwhelmed by the achievements and felt there is nothing else to do.
• Poverty is still existing in the society. The Dalit , Tribals and some Backward communities are still struggling.
• Telangana did something for various communities like Fishermen, Sheep Growers. It needs to be done more.
• With this same persistence and efforts, we should move forward and bring Dalits, Tribals, poorer sections in BC and Upper Caste community to an equal level and it is our responsibility.
• Establishment of Food processing industries in every Mandal will be taken up in a big way after the elections
• Telangana will become the most advanced state in the country.
• Slew of new programmes and new planning is on the cards.
• People faced drinking water, electricity and irrigation water crisis . Growing crops was a big task. In a just nine years, Telangana overcame all the problems. Migrations were stopped.
• We developed a system and settled. State Budget and Financial situation is good. We laid a strong foundation and need to develop tremendously in the future.
• Appeal to all to work hard to eradicate poverty in Telangana state and achieve top position in the country.
• Arrangements should be made for the distribution of Podu lands and all should be given to them. Rythu Bandhu will be provided from this season. Collectors should take steps to open their bank accounts and send the IFSC code as well.
We introduced schemes from a humanitarian perspective and delivered them to the deserved .
• Launched innovative schemes for the welfare of Single women, Old Age, Beedi workers in rural areas. These scheme are not being implemented anywhere in the country.
• During his recent visit to Maharashtra, people are curious to know about Telangana development. They wanted ‘Telangana Model’.
• My humble submission is it is all possible because of you for successfully implementing Telangana Model.
• This is possible due to the efforts of well-coordinated public representatives and all our employees who are working with great commitment.
• On behalf of people and from myself, I congratulate you all on the occasion of inauguration of New Collectorate and decennial Telangana Formation Day celebrations celebrations.
