Ending the speculation, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao finally opened up saying that he is ready to take on PM Narendra Modi by playing a key role in national politics. KCR asked a mass gathering at Jangoan this evening that “Do you want to me to enter national politics?” “Should I go to Delhi?” The public responded positively, saying “Yes”.

Refusing to implement the power sector reforms mooted by PM Modi, KCR lashed out at the Centre particularly Modi. Addressing a meeting at Jangaon on Friday, February 11, K Chandrasekhar Rao held the BJP leader responsible for hike in prices of fuel, fertilizers, gas thus burdening the people particularly farmers.

This is the first time KCR was in public after he abstained from Modi’s recent visit to Chinna Jeeyar Asharm at Muchintal in Hyderabad, where he unveiled Statue of Equality.

The chief minister, who is very angry with Modi for his anti-Telangana statement in Rajya Sabha the other day, did not mince words in lashing out at him and his unilateral decisions. “The Telangana government despite all odds is doing well within its means”.

“The Centre did not help Telangana in any manner. Now Modi is resorting to pressure tactics in the form of power reforms. They are asking us to fix meters to agricultural pump sets, But I will never do that,” said KCR..

Not a single promise made in the AP Bifurcation Act is implemented by the Modi-led government at the Centre – be it national status to Kaleshwaram, tribal university, railway coach factory at Kazipet and so on, the chief minister told the public.

After inaugurating the integrated district collector office and the party office, Chandrasekhar Rao addressed a well-attended public meeting. He announced the setting up of a medical college at Jangaon and two degree colleges; one each at Jangaon and Palakurthy.

The state government is in the process of setting up eight medical colleges and with this the number will go up to nine new medical colleges in Telangana state.
