Rama Krishna Sangem
Former Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar through his #SundayPhotography this week posted the pics of small seasonable birds that almost herald the onset of spring season in our environs. The last of March marks the Telugu new year, Ugadi, Sri Viswavasu Nama Samvatsaram. We all know this festival marks beginning of the spring season, where greenery thrives all over. The birds caught in the lens of Green India Challenge (GIC) founder are apt to the occasion.
Indian Cuckoo Shrike, Indian Grey Hornbill and Thickbilled flower-pecker, the three birds named by a follower of Santosh, Heeresh Dubey are commonly sighted in and around Hyderabad trees. The post o n X got 1,290 views and 91 likes by forenoon. The birds signify the impending burst of greenery through the rising temperatures. Though March first and second weeks are supposed to witness some showers, the flora and fauns is badly waiting for it.
Focus on camera work
Those who follow Santosh’s birds photography point to a fact that he never misses to focus on his camera work. These photos are not just for the sake of photos. He takes care to get their images in different angles – in action, in their natural habitats and with their prey. That enhances their visual appeal, said a nature photographer. Of course, knowing their names and details is an added exercise for the nature lovers. He makes them for his upcoming Sunday’s pics.
