CM KCR on I Day: “Telangana is the best in India, in growth”

CM KCR I Day

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on August 15, Tuesday, unfurled the national flag of tricolour at a colourful event held at historic Golconda Fort on the outskirts of Hyderabad. He inspected a police parade and received guard of honour from them. “Telangana is far ahead of all other states in India, as far as development and growth are concerned,” he said, addressing people on the occasion.

CM KCR reaffirmed his faith in development and welfare with the freedom and independence the country attained 77 years ago. Addressing people after unfurling the tricolor on the Golconda Fort the Chief minister of Telangana declared that the fruits of development are reaching the roots of democracy with the aid of the freedom we achieved from the alien rulers in 1947.

The chief minister detailed how the achieved independence paved way for the improvement of conditions in the underdeveloped regions and how the schemes of welfare are realized by the governments in successive tenures.  His speech touched various aspects that helped transformation of Telangana state .

“If you look at the life scene of Telangana today.. it is shining with continuous electricity transmission. The crop is resplendent with canals and green chains. Even in the scorching sun, the ponds are bubbling,” he detailed.  Chief Secretary Santi Kumar, IAS and Director General of Police Anjani Kumar IPS received the CM at Golconda Fort. Several officials and public representatives were present on the occasion.

“Ours is Pro-farmer government”

Streams, bends and check dams built on them are overflowing with water. Godavari is a constant source of life with the streams of Kaleswara flowing in and irrigating the lands of Telangana. Telangana, which was once hungry for a drop of water, is now teeming with more than twenty reservoirs. With the yield of three crore tonnes of paddy, today Telangana is flourishing as a source of rice for the country. It spells the golden rule in welfare and development.

Everyone is in awe of the unprecedented progress achieved by Telangana in the past decade. I heartily request the people of Telangana to extend their full strength of blessings so that this wonderful progress continues in this manner. Anywhere in the world there are dominant indicators that measure the progress achieved by a country or a state. Five of them are important.

After the formation of the Telangana government, it strengthened the state’s financial situation with strict discipline. Wealth increased. Distributed to the people. The new state of Telangana topped the established big states in the country with a per capita income of 3 lakh 12 thousand 398 rupees. Similarly, per capita electricity consumption exceeded the national average of 1,255 units.

With an average consumption of 2,126 units, which is 70 percent higher than the national average, Telangana has become No. 1 in the country in terms of per capita electricity consumption.

Telangana is the light of day

Telangana is an inspiring success story in the power sector. In no time, Telangana has emerged as the only state which provides 24 hours free quality electricity to all sectors and agriculture. The revolutionary development in the field of electricity has affected all sectors. Uninterruptible electricity has served as the driving force for the state to move on the path of progress.

CM KCR asked people to teach a lesson to the Congress leaders who say farmers don’t need power for more than three hours per day. “All our progress in agriculture has been possible only through uninterrupted power supply to the farm sector, but some leaders ignorant of facts are talking otherwise, saying 24 hours power supply is a waste. People should teach them a lesson,” said CM KCR.
