KCR @ 70: MP Santosh plants saplings to mark birthday

BRS supremo and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao turned 70 today – February 17, Saturday. Party leaders and supporter conduced several programmes to mark the birthday celebrations. BRS Rajya Sabha MP and Green India Challenge campaign founder J Santosh Kumar planted saplings in Hyderabad. He planted three Himayat Pasand mango saplings to mark KCR’s birthday.

“Embracing nature’s charm with a green gift! Planted three Himayat Pasand mango saplings in honour of Shri #KCR sir’s birthday for the Vrikshaarchana programme”, Santosh posted on X. Around 4,000 viewed the post and  over 330 liked the pics. Interestingly, many more party workers and GIC activists too did the same thing – planting saplings on KCR’s birthday and shared the pictures.

Santosh in another post on X said: “Today, we celebrated the visionary leadership and unwavering determination of KCR garu on his birthday. From the fervent agitation for a separate Telangana to the realization of that dream, his journey has been one of courage and commitment. With over 9 years of steadfast governance, he has transformed our state, touching  countless lives along the way” . This post got  over 8,000 views.

 

70 kg cake cut 

Party working president KTR led the cadre and leaders in celebrating KCR’s birthday in Hyderabad and various parts of  Telangana. Many MLAs and others greeted KCR on the occasion. On the occasion, KTR handed over accident insurance  policies to around 1,000 autorickshaw drivers, each with cover of Rs 1 lakh. Besides cutting a 70 kg cake, KTR also distributed wheelchairs to differently abled persons.
