President Murmu appreciates MP Santosh’s GIC

BRS Rajya Sabha MP J Sanotsh Kumar called on President Draupadi Murmu and briefed about his Green India Challenge (GIC) at Rashtrapthi Nilayam, Bolarum in Secunderabad on July 4, Tuesday. He presented her his coffee table book, #Vrikshavedam which explains his efforts at GIC in the last few years.  The President is on a day visit to Telangana to participate in Alluri Sitharama Raju 125th birth anniversary celebrations.

“I explained Smt Draupadi Murrmu Ji how Green India Challenge was inspired by our Honorable Chief Minister Sri KCR’s brainchild #HaritaHaaram programme,” tweeted Sanotsh. “I also explained how we have been trying to our best to increase the green cover since its inception five years ago, by planting 27 crore saplings till date. She had a patient hearing and appreciated our works,” said Santosh.

“She also promised to participate in the #GIC very soon as and when possible,” tweeted Sanotsh, expressing his happiness over her response. Earlier, Santosh along with CM KCR and others welcomed the President at the airport by offering her a green sapling. Earlier, this week, Outlook English news magazine carried a story on the efforts of Santosh through his Green India Challenge.
