Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi came down heavily on Pakistan for supporting terror infrastructure on their soil. He event went to the extent of hinting that there would be another round of Operation Sindoor 2.0 if Pakistani authorities continue to back terrorists who attack India. That operation would even erase Pakistan on the world geographical maps.
Gen Dwivedi issued a strong warning to Pakistan onOctober 3, Friday saying that armed forces would not exercise any restraint “like in Operation Sindoor 1.0” if the neighbouring nation did not stop “state-sponsored terrorism.”
“This time we will not maintain the restraint that we did in Operation Sindoor 1.0. This time we will do something that Pakistan will have to think whether it wants to be in the Geography or not. If Pakistan wants to be Geography then it must stop state-sponsored terrorism,” he said.
Speaking at an Army post in Rajasthan’s Anupgarh, General Dwivedi said the Indian forces won’t show any restraint this time, hinting that a second version of ‘Operation Sindoor’ wouldn’t be far away if Islamabad refuses to stop exporting terror.
No restraint this time
“This time we will not maintain the restraint that we had in Operation Sindoor 1.0. This time we will do something that will make Pakistan think whether it wants to retain its place in geography or not. If Pakistan wants to retain its place in geography, then it must stop state-sponsored terrorism,” he said at an army post in Rajasthan. He also asked the soldiers to stay prepared. “If God wills, you’ll get an opportunity soon. All the best,” the Chief of Army Staff said.
Rajnath too warned of Op Sindoor 2.0
Gen Dwivedi’s warning follows Air Chief Marshal AP Singh’s remark earlier in the day that the Indian forces had downed four to five Pakistani fighter jets, including US-made F-16s and Chinese JF-17s, during Operation Sindoor in May. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh too a day before talked strongly against Pakistan for creating trouble in Sir Creek, a disputed area in Pakistan. Rajnath Singh too warned Pakistan that there would be Operation Sindoor 2.0, if Pakistan keeps on creating terror infrastructure against India.
