AAP focuses Punjab, Goa

Aam Aadmi Party

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is fully focused on making his party presence in both Punjab and Goa. In Punjab, political experts predict AAP even may form the government by emerging as the single largest party, followed by Congress and SAD (Shiromani Akali Dal).  Captain Amrender Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress with BJP may finish third or fourth.

By naming Bhagwant Mann, its Sangrur MP, as the CM candidate, APP has done a good job. Till now Congress and BJP used to say, AAP hasn’t named its CM face in Punjab. On the other hand, Congress CM Charanjit Channi and PCC president Navjot Singh Siddhu are yet to finalise their strategy on retaining power in the crucial state. The four way contests in Punjab may end in a photo finish.

But, Goa may go to AAP, given its urban and educated voters, who got vexed with Congress and BJP which formed governments with defectors and degraded the public mandate for some time. The entry of NCP and Shiv Sena will further split the votes of Congress, so AAP may win the war of images and emerge as the single largest party to form a government here.
