MP Santosh carries on with bird photography

BRS Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar posted four pics of a bird perched on a tree branch, on December 31, the last Sunday of 2023. The birds of munia family are commonly seen, but hard to capture on camera. Munia is a member of big family of our neighbourhood winged friends. Santosh clicked them in the past too. But, what’s special about them is their photogenic appearance on trees.

Santosh posted the pics on X at 6.30 am Sunday, and by they 3,738 views, 162 likes and 42 reposts, as usual. This steady flow of his followers show the undiminished supporters of nature, wildlife and environment. Santosh, founder of Green India Challenge (GIC), is sure to take on his #SundayPhotography passion into new year of 2024. We hope, his supporters and colleagues at GIC too would continue their passion in the new year.

We all know, Santosh has been continuing his GIC activities at a non-political level. Of course, he is inspired by former CM KCR’s call for promoting greenery, through #TelanganaKu HaritaHaaram. Being a close associate of KCR, Santosh too started his public initiative of GIC and his individual level #SundayPhotography. No doubt these two drives motivated thousands of leaders and youth.

We wish the new Congress government too continues the greenery campaign and promote tree cover in Telangana. At the same time, we must not forget this is not just a governmental programme, but requires wholehearted support of everyone in society – particularly the youth and students. If youth make it a habit to protect environment and greenery,  then we are assured of a great future.

Santosh has shown us all what an MP can do for our environment, and now it is the duty of youth to take forward this spirit.

Happy New Year of 2024 to one and all!
