Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on May 22, Monday unveiled the logo of Telangana formation 10th anniversary celebrations that will kick off June 2. The logo reflects Telangana culture, history and heritage besides the rapid growth achieved by the state in the last nine years. KCR chaired a marathon meeting at BR Ambedkar Secretariat during the day.
KCR termed the formation of Telangana as culmination of s decades long struggles of people who aspired to grow on par with the best in the country. Happily, the newest state has achieved rapid strides on all fronts, irrigation, agriculture and industries, besides launching so many disruptive welfare schemes to reach all needy sections of society, said the CM. Today, Telangana is No 1 in most areas of growth and welfare, said the CM.
The logo reflects achievements of KCR government in the last few years. They include Kaleswaram irrigation project, Mission Bhagiratha, agriculture, power supply, Yadadri temple expansion, T Hub, , Dr Ambedkar’s 125 feet statue, along with cultural symbols of Bathukamma and Bonalu festivals, official state bird, Palapitta and the soon to be inaugurated Telangana martyrs memorial.
KCR has finalized a detailed programme of the 10th anniversary celebrations for 21 days, from June 2. Different days will be earmarked for different subjects, to highlight the achievements. The CM told the officials to see that people’s participation is there in the celebrations. Various events are planned across the districts and major towns to involves all sections in the events.
The meeting was attended by Ministers T Harish Rao, T Srinivas Yadav, MLCs Palla Rajeswar Reddy, Desapati Srinivas, P Koushik Reddy, MLAs A Jeevan Reddy, Balka Suman, CM’s chief advisor Somesh Kumar, IAS (Retd), Government chief advisor Rajiv Sharma, IAS (Retd), Chief Secretary Santi Kumari, IAS, speical chief secretary Ramakrishna Rao and Telangana police Housing Crporaiton chairman Koleti Damodar Gupta.
