Rama Krishna Sangem
Former BRS Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar is one of a rare bunch of politicians who uses camera for a common cause – that protection of wildlife and conservation of environment. Long ago we heard of our first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru using camera to capture wild animals in jungles. At a time when our wild life – flora and fauna – is in danger of extinction from humans, camera is the best weapon to bring awareness among public on this vital issue.
Santosh, on the occasion of Wold Photography Day posted on X some of his pics to underline this point. “Happy World Photography Day! Capturing the wings in motion and nature’s wishpers. Every shot is a story, here are few of my journey,” said he, drawing a whopping 4,000 views and hundreds of likes on August 19,Tuesday. A twilight sun, a peacock sipping water and a butterfly are the pics he posted to take us back to his photography album.
Santosh never misses his date with #SundayPhotography, that he posts every weekend pics of birds, animals and nature. These pics are of value for both their content and camera work. They are of interest to youngsters who want to cultivate this as a hobby. I personally admire him for taking time even in busy schedules to keep date with his hobby, every Sunday. Scores of his fans on social media wait and comment on his pics as they share them too.
Seed Ganesha campaign
Santosh has also been running a environmental friendly Seed Ganesha campaign during the Vinayaka Chaviti festival and the immersion of chemical coated idols in the lakes and water bodies.
