K Mounika, a post-graduate student of RK Degree & PG Colleges, Kamareddy, has been selected to speak in the Youth Parliament in the Parliament Central Hall, New Delhi on December 25. She will be speaking in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a galaxy of other leaders, on the occasion of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary that falls on Sunday.
Mounika stood 3rd in a select group of 7 youngsters chosen from 25 students qualified in an elocution competition held from across the country. She is the only one from Telangana. RK Group of Educational Institutions CEO Jaipal Reddy, in a statement expressed his happiness over the achievement of Mounika and congratulated her on the occasion. “This shows the talent of today’s youth on all fronts,” he said.
Ketavat Mounika hails from Pocharam village of Banswada mandal of Kamareddy district. She is now studying her MSW first year in RK PG College. Earlier, she studied her bachelors too from the group’s degree college. Mounika is now preparing for UPSC Civils examination. Her father Narsimlu is a cargo driver, while mother Sunita, a beedi woker. She won the competition by speaking on “Start Up India, Stand Up India”.
Kamareddy district collector Jitesh V Patil too congratulated Mounika for going to participate in Youth Parliament in Delhi. Kamareddy additonal collector Chandra Mohan, RK Group of Colleges chairman T Bhaskar, coordinator Dattatri, Dean Naveen Kumar, principals Saidaiah, Goverdhan Reddy, vice-principals Gangadhar, Prabhakar were among those who greeted Mounika.
