NMDC, India’s largest iron ore producer, marked the 11th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm across all its projects and offices. Amitava Mukherjee CMD, NMDC along with Vinay Kumar Director (Technical) and Joydeep Dasgupta Director (Production) attended the event and encouraged the employees towards healthy lifestyle.

In line with this year’s theme, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ over 500 employees and their loved ones across projects, participated in guided yoga sessions that promoted physical well-being and inner harmony. It highlights the deep connection between personal well-being and the health of our planet, echoing the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the belief that the world is one family, said a press release from NMDC.

The main session was held at NMDC’s head office in Hyderabad, where certified instructors led a morning of mindful stretches and breathing exercises. Parallel sessions were organised at the company’s mining sites and regional offices, ensuring widespread engagement from across the NMDC family. To participate in Internal Yoga Day, which lasts about 45 minutes, all the top brass of NMDC must have some prior practice. They displayed it on the Yoga session too.
