Rama Krishna Sangem
Political circles are abuzz with rumours that 6th generation of Nehru-Gandhi family, this time, Congress general secretary and Waynad MP Priyanka Vadra Gandhi’s son, Raihan Vadra Rajiv would soon enter politics. Interestingly, a story is doing rounds that Priyanka has officially changed her son’s name from Raihan Vadra to Raihan Rajiv Gandhi. This is going viral too on social media. However, there is no confirmation from the Gandhi family or the Congress leadership.
People in the know of the things say that this 25 year old Raihan (born June 29, 2000) full name is Raihan Vadra Rajiv. Whether or not Gandhi is added to his name still unknown. Perhaps this could be a rumour spread by the saffron circles who naturally hate Nehru-Gandhi family’s grip on the Congress and thus on national politics. Some say, his name in the voters list of Delhi has been changed to this effect too. We still need some kind of confirmation.
Raihan Vadra, born on 29 June 2000, is the elder son of Indian politician Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and businessman Robert Vadra. At just 24 years old, Raihan is already making a mark in the Indian art world with his thought-provoking immersive exhibitions and curatorial works. However, Raihan, a member of the Nehru-Gandhi family, has chosen a creative path over active politics. On his political career in future? We need to wait for some more time to know the answer.
We only know this much of him
Raihan’s academic journey took him across Delhi, Dehradun, and finally to London, where he completed his higher studies at the SOAS University of London. Coming from India’s most politically influential family, Raihan maintained a relatively low profile during his early years and remained media-shy, focusing more on creative expression than public appearances.
Raihan Vadra is a visual artist and curator whose work spans wildlife, street, and commercial photography. His talent shines most brightly in his immersive art installations, where he explores deep philosophical themes such as control, freedom, choice, and unity.
Dark Perception (2021): His first solo exhibition in Delhi focused on control. It offered an immersive, conceptual experience to the audience. The India Story (2021): Participated in this significant art event held in Kolkata.
Anumana (2022): This was his second solo show, which delved into the concepts of choice and freedom. Like his earlier work, it was deeply experiential. You Cannot Miss This (2023): Co-founded this independent art collective, with exhibitions in Delhi and Mumbai, showcasing multimedia works by independent artists.
