This is a kind of green greetings! Former Rajya Sabha MP and Green India Challenge founder leader J Santosh Kumar has launched an innovative initiative ‘Vrukshaarchana’ to mark the birthday celebrations of former chief minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, that falls on February 17. Through this drive, Santosh combined the party cadre’s enthusiasm to celebrate KCR’s birthday with spreading the greenery in Telangana.

In fact, promoting greenery and planting of tress is a theme closes to the heart of KCR, right from his early days in politics, as a legislator two decades ago. Santosh has launched Vrukshaarchana, a call to plant saplings to celebrate the top leader’s birthday has evoked good response from the leaders and cadres of BRS. Large numbers of them are coming forward to plant trees to mark the event, even days before it. We know that Santosh’s Green India Challenge was inspired by KCR’s Harita Haaram project since 2014.

“Celebrating the birthday of Telangana’s beloved Harita Premikudu, farmers’ friend and the first chief minister @KCRBRSpresident garu, we took green step forward today! At Jalagam Vengal Rao park, Punjagutta, we, #GIC team joined hands with all our esteemed @BRSParty ex-corporation chairmen, to plant saplings. This is part of #GreenIndiaChallenge’s #Vrukshaarchana programme, is dedicated honoring our visionary leader KCR garu,” said Santosh in a post on X, on February 16, Sunday.
