Rama Krishna Sangem
Neeraja Kona, who introduces herself as a stylist, made a clear and confident impact as a director in Tollywood, with her debut movie, Telusu Kada. This 42 year old director, we can say for sure, is yet another addition to our list of women directors in Telugu film industry. She will stay here and stay longer. That’s good too. Another good thing is Siddhu Jonnalagadda known for his rustic ditched lover boy refined himself with acting in this movie.
Rashi Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty vied with each other in dominating the screen, with their role backed performances. So is Harsha Nina Chemudu, friend of the hero. Thaman music cannot be ignored in this movie as his beats are almost directional. Gnana Shekhar’s camera or Naveen Nooli editing are vital for navigating us through the film. A must watch for those who love cool yet tense triangle love stories. Don’t forget Neeraja wrote the story too.
This movie is stated to have been made on a moderate budget of around Rs 45 crore, but since its releases on October 17, Diwali festive season, it only grossed about Rs 7 crore in the first five days and is likely to earn another Rs 3-4 crore by the second weekend. But, it will move into safe zone as the film has OTT and channel prospects. The recipe for its longevity is the presence of two strong women characters, interspersed with another strong male character. Its punchline is testosterone is stronger than estrogen!
