Established in 2016, the brand is known for its stylish and sustainable loungewear, offering over 500 SKUs across various segments, including nightwear, maternity wear, and everyday fashion for Women’s, Men’s and Kids . Prakruti’s journey began after a successful career with Mercedes-Benz and Fiat-Chrysler. Faced with cancer, she returned to India for treatment. During her recovery, she founded Shibori Designs, which later evolved into The Kaftan Company. Armed with an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and further training from prestigious programs like the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Entrepreneurial Program and the UN Women Industry Disruptor Program, Prakruti’s strategic vision has been the cornerstone of the brand’s success.
Navin’s background is equally compelling. With a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in marketing and communications at Mercedes-Benz Canada, He did MBA from the University of Bologna, with a focus on Design, Fashion, and Luxury Goods, has been instrumental in driving The Kaftan Company’s growth.
