Uday Nagaraju has been been selected to stand as Labour’s Parliamentary candidate for North Bedfordshire. Uday has a long history of public service experience gained from running non-profit organisations to researching inclusive development and contributing to Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy. His selection is announced on May 14, Tuesday.
Uday has worked to make AI technology inclusive and to harness the benefits for the UK. He has worked to establish networks and groups looking at this new and increasing tech for the benefit of ordinary people.
He has a successful career in technology consulting, policy leadership, grassroots community and political engagement and dedication to inclusive global development. Uday is equipped to work with the future Labour government for North Bedfordshire constituents.
Uday is from Karimnagar district, Telangana
Uday Nagaraju hails from Sanigaram village, Koheda mandal of Karimnagar dsitrict in Telangana. His parents – Hanumanth Rao and Nirmala Devi are of a middle-class family background. Right from his childhood, Uday is a hard working nature student.
Speaking after their selection, Uday Nagaraju said: “I am honoured to have been chosen as the Labour Parliamentary candidate for North Bedfordshire. “Our towns and villages, like Biggleswade, Sandy and Potton have suffered under successive Conservative governments. We require an active MP who is accessible and prioritises the interests of residents.
“I have devoted my life to public service and pledge to be fully available as a committed MP, prioritising the needs of constituents and instilling a renewed sense of hope for positive change.
“Only a Labour government can deliver the change that North Bedfordshire needs: getting the NHS back on its feet and taking back our streets to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
“I will give voice to the hard-working people of this community and fight to make sure that jobs and opportunities are brought back to the local area.”
