23 faculty members of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) have made it in the Top 2% Scientists of the World list released by Stanford University (SU) and Elsevier. It is heartening that its passionate young faculty are doing exceptionally well and publishing top quality journals, said a press release from IIT Hyderabad.

The list is divided into two categories based on career-long research (11 faculty) and based on research in 2023 (23 faculty). This prestigious list identifies the world’s leading researchers, representing approximately 2% of all scientists worldwide. It encompasses standardized data on citations, h-index, and a wide range of bibliometric indicators.

Dr BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman of IITH, congratulated all the faculty members for this achievement and said “the exceptional showing our commitment to groundbreaking research and our status as a global leader in the field. This remarkable achievement highlights the talent and dedication of our researchers and faculty.
