Senior bureaucrat Burra Venkatesham, 1995 batch IAS has been posted as new education principal secretary, Telangana and another senior officer, M Dana Kishore, 1996 batch IAS, has been appointed as principal secretary, in the key municipal administration and urban development department. These are a few of 11 IAS transfers effected by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on December 17, Sunday.
The orders issued through GO No 1652 in the name of Chief Secretary Santi Kumari, IAS, senior bureaucrat and special chief secretary Arvind Kumar, IAS of 1991 batch was sent to less important disaster management in the revenue department. He will relieve Rahul Bojja of 2000 batch IAS, who has been holding the post as full additional charge. Dana Kishore will also be the new commissioner of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.
Venkatesham is also the new commissioner of collegiate and technical education. Vakati Karuna, IAS (2004) who now holds education secretary and commissioner of collegiate and technical education has been sent to women, child, senior citizen and disabled department both as secretary and commissioner, a post till now held by Shruti Ojha, a 2013 IAS officer.
KS Sreenivasa Raju, 1999 IAS has been posted as the new secretary of Transport, Roads and Buildings department, replacing A Vani Prasad, 1995 IAS officer. Vani is yet to get a posting. Rahul Bojja, now secretary in the CM Office has been transferred to general administration department in place of V Seshadri, IAS, who has been appointed CM principal secretary last week.
Dr Christina Z Chongthu, IAS (2001) has been transferred from commissioner, commercial taxes to secretary, health, medical and family welfare. C Sudarshan Reddy, IAS (2002) now secretary in the municipal administration has been made managing director of Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board, in place of Dana Kishore.
TK Sridevi, 2004 IAS, secretary finance, will be the commercial taxes commissioner. RV Karnan, 2012 batch IAS, now collector, Nalgonda will be the new director of Health and family welfare.
Going by the list of transfers, it appears there are some more shuffling in the coming days. CM Revanth Reddy is understood to have decided to change all those IAS officers who held some key posts in the previous BRS government and contributed to political controversies.
