Most of Telugu commercial films, particularly those of big heroes are made of star heroes for their fan base by a director who is also a big fan of him. Most times, the producers too are fans of that hero. Whatever audience who go to that movie are only additional bonus for the film while the fans of the hero take care its commercial success or see minimum guarantee at the box offic.
Bhola Shankar too is one such movie from the stable of Mega Star Chiraneevi. His ardent fan and disciple Meher Ramesh directed the flick, so you can imagine its ingredients and entertainment formula. There are no surprises for guessing. At the best, the common audience can get some entertainment from songs and novelty in fights. Of course, that could be their purpose too, on a long weekend, that precedes Independence Day.
Thin story line:
As Meher wanted to give us a hilarious entertainer – of Chiranjeevi’s mannerism and swag – he took enough care to make the story line lean and mean. Bhola Shankar (Chiranjeevi) comes to Kolkata along with his sister (Keerthi Suresh) and finds a job of cab driver. But, finally he had to chase down villains – who run a mafia of women trafficking. How and why are the details of the movie, with loads of comedy scenes with lots of comedians.
Brand Chiranjeevi still strong
The movie is believed to have been made on a liberal budget of around Rs 100 crore. Of this remuneration of Chiranjeevi must have taken at least 50 per cent while that of others another 10 per cent. As the movie is baked by Zee productions, it is sure to make a total business of around Rs 150 crore from all formats. Brand Chiranjeevi is still strong. Chiranjeevi knows how to be in limelight by doing movies frequently, irrespective of their results.
Bhola Shankar is watchable movie, if we have nothing else to do at home, during this holidays season.
