Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on May 23, Tuesday, released the detailed schedule for the three week long 10th anniversary celebrations of the state formation from June 2. KCR chaired a meeting with senior ministers, officials and others in his chambers in Secretariat during the day. The schedule of events reflects the achievements of his government in the last nine years.
Here is the schedule: June 2, CM KCR will launch the Telangana formation day celebrations by unfurling tricolour in Secretariat, after paying tributes to the martyrs at Gun Park. At the same time, ministers will participate in flag hoisting programmes in their respective districts.
June 3, Telangana farmers day will be celebrated highlighting achievements in agriculture sector. June 4, Police day will be celebrated to highlight the enhanced law and order in the state, June 5, Power day will be feted, to celebrate increased power supply, June 6, Industries day will be organised, showcasing the rapid progress in industries and investments, June 7, Irrigation day will be held to highlight various irrigation projects.
June 8, Minor irrigation day will be celebrated to underscore restoration of tanks and pounds, June 9, Welfare day, will explain achievements through various welfare schemes, June 10, Good governance day, June 11 Literary day, this will be followed by poetry meetings in all districts, June 12, Telangana runs will be held in assembly segments, to encourage youth and students involvement.
June 13, Women’s day will see felicitation to women achievers, June 14, Medical and health day will highlight the expansion of this sector since 2014. June 15, rural development day will be held, June 16, Urban development day will be organised, June 17, Tribal day will be organised, June 18, Drinking water day. June 19, Tree plantation day or greenery day will be conducted, to promote afforestation.
June 20, Will be celebrated as education day, that will also see school enrollment and launch of digital classrooms, June 21, Spiritual day will be held and special prayers will be held in all temples, mosques and churches for well-being of all and June 22 will be celebrated as Martyrs memorial day, when CM KCR will inaugurate newly built martyrs memorial near Secretariat.
