Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma calls on CM KCR

Meghalaya Chief Minister  Conrad  K. Sangma paid a courtesy call on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad on September 7, Thursday..

CM KCR accorded a cordial welcome to  Sangma at Pragati Bhavan. The Telangana CM hosted high tea to Sangma and held an informal talk. On the occasion, CM KCR felicitated Meghalaya CM with shawl and a memento. Later, the CM bid farewell to Sangma.

Ministers Sri KT Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Madhusudana Chari, MLA Rohit Reddy,  Planning Commission Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar. former union minister Venugopala Chari, BRS leaders Dasoju Sravan, K Vamsidhar Rao and others are present.

45 year old Conrad Sangma is son of late PA Sangma, former CM of Meghalaya and former Speaker of Lok Sabha. Conrad is in the CM post since 2018 and he leads National People’s Party which is an ally of ruling BJP led NDA at the Centre. Meghalaya is a peaceful state in the Northeastern region. It has a population of around 35 lakh and an area of around 22,500 sq km.

Conrad Sangma calling is just a courtesy call and there is no political significance to the meet, said BRS sources.
