The DICCI Telangana chapter celebrated the 134th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, a revered social reformer, economist, and jurist, at its office in Hyderabad on April 14, Monday.

The event was marked with great enthusiasm highlighting Dr Ambedkar’s immense contributions to Indian society, especially his role in championing social justice and drafting the Indian Constitution.

As part of the celebrations, DICCI officials and senior members of Prabhuddha Bharat came together to pay tribute to the visionary leader. Among the distinguished attendees were Murthy Garu, Retd. Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Tax; KK Raja Garu, Chairman of Exotic Events and Latha Raja Foundation; Rajender Kumar, former DGM Union Bank, Nanchar, ex-GM Union Bank, Aruna Dasari State President , Vanajakshi  Narra, DICCI Women’s Wing Mentor and State President, Seetaram, DICCI Vice President  Balraj, Contractors Vertical Head, Narayana Dasari  State Coordinator Indrakanth, Contractors Vertical Coordinator; Ramesh Voondinty, Contractor Vertical Member, Tirupati Vanaparthy Coordinator ,Goutam, DICCI Next Gen Coordinator, Vijay, DICCI Member; Panduga Bhanu Teja, DICCI Next Gen Coordinator, Sangareddy,  Aarathi Garu, DICCI Women’s Wing Member; Smt. Vishalakshi Garu, Telangana Women’s Wing Member; Smt. Catherine Naidu, BFC Coordinator; and Reddy Padma, Women’s Wing Member.

Shyam, President of Prabhuddha Bharat, who has been actively leading and supporting initiatives that honor Babasaheb’s ideals and social vision.

Praveen ,a flower merchant and  Events Manager dedicated member of Prabhuddha Bharat, who has been offering a garland to Dr. Ambedkar’s statue at Tank Bund for the past 13 years. His consistent act of devotion is a touching tribute to Babasaheb’s legacy. Assisting him in this heartfelt tradition was Namdev, who helped garland the statue during today’s ceremony.

 

Tributes paid at Tank Bund too

The gathering paid floral tributes to the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar located on Tank Bund Road, reaffirming their commitment to his ideals and vision for an inclusive and just society. On this occasion, KK Raja Garu shared a heartfelt message about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar:

“Babasaheb Ambedkar was not just a leader for the oppressed, but a torchbearer for human rights and dignity for all Indians. His vision of a progressive, inclusive, and equitable India continues to inspire generations. It is our responsibility to uphold his ideals and work collectively toward the society he envisioned.”

The event served as a powerful reminder of Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and the continued relevance of his mission for equality, empowerment, and justice.
