A first of its kind initiative, Excel India Leadership awards for 2023 were presented to two persons from education field – Dr M Jaipal Reddy and T Bhaskar Rao, both from the RK Group of Educational institutions, Telangana, on June 1, Thursday.
Dr Jaipal Reddy is CEO of RK Group of Colleges, that has a combined intake of around 9,500 students and 300 faculty, Bhaskar is Chairman of the group. Jaipal operates from RK Degree and PG colleges, Kamareddy while Bhaskar takes care as Principal of the Kranthi Degree and PG Colleges, Ramanthapur in Hyderabad.
Excel India news magazine and website excelindiaonline.in Chief Editor and publisher Rama Krishna Sangem presented the awards in a compact but a charged up function held at the Kranthi College, packed with students and faculty of the institution. Excel India editorial board member Vijay Kumar coordinated the programme, which was attended by many other guests and faculty.
Why these leadership awards?
Vijay Kumar announced that the Excel India media group would henceforth present leadership awards acknowledging micro-level leadership initiatives in different sectors. Rama Krishna explained the concept of leadership in today’s world. “Once leaders were believed to have come by birth, later, ideological or religious positions gave birth to leaders. But, in today’s world, anyone can become a leader, with passion and commitment,” he said.
Excel India would identify and acknowledge leaders at every level. Be it in a small institution or a big establishment, leadership should be encouraged and appreciated so that everyone will benefit out of their work and achievements. Both Dr Jaipal Reddy and Bhaskar rose from humble backgrounds and stand for simplicity and hard work. RK group presently is one of the leading educational establishments in Telangana.
Dr Jaipal Reddy and Bhaskar thanked Excel India for giving them the leadership award for 2023. “This award will further increase my responsibility from now and I will try to much more to improve quality of our educational institutions,” said Dr Jaipal Reddy. “This award will go a long way in inspiring me in my work towards my institutions and society,” said Bhaskar, who is also a senior journalist.
Senior journalist Durgam Ravinder, Kranthi College Academic Dean Krishna Reddy and RK Group administration director Srinivas Reddy too spoke on the occasion. Interestingly, some students too spoke on the leadership qualities of both Dr Jaipal Reddy and Bhaskar and how they made the group one of the best in Telangana. Kranti College women’s wing in-charge Dr Gnana Latha proposed vote of thanks.
