Former Cantonment MLA passed away

Former Cantonment MLA Bingi Mashchendar Rao (94) passed away on Friday night. He died of old age at his residence in Alwal. Mashchendar Rao previously won as an MLA on behalf of the Janata Party.

He contested from that party between 1978 to -83 and won. Later he joined the Congress party and contested the assembly elections in 1983 but was defeated. Later he served as Director of Syndicate Bank and Director of General Insurance Corporation of India.
