IIT Hyderabad hosts Future Inventors Fair

The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) proudly hosted the second edition of the “Future Inventors Fair” (FIF), a remarkable annual event dedicated to nurturing the creative and innovative talents of young students from across Telangana.

Held on August 18, Sunday, the fair brought together some of the brightest young minds from Class 8 and 9, showcasing their innovative projects and ideas on a prestigious platform. Total 18 schools participated in the final round of FIF, said a press release.

The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with students presenting a diverse array of projects that highlighted their creativity, technical skills, and forward-thinking solutions. The projects spanned various domains, reflecting the wide-ranging interests and talents of these young inventors. The highlight of the day was the much-anticipated prize distribution ceremony.

The Director of IIT Hyderabad, Prof. B.S. Murty, had presented the awards to the top three projects. The winners were as follows: First Prize (Rs.20,000): Niharika and Shivangi from Army Public School, Bolarum for the project ANTISLEEP DETECTOR, Second Prize (Rs. 10,000): Swastikesha and T Lakshay from Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur for the project DYNAMIC TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT

Third Prize (Rs. 5,000): Ridhiman Singh, Mayur and Aananya Pakki from ST. Andrews High School, Suchitra for the project MICROALGAE FOR SUSTAINABLE AIR PURIFICATION In addition to the cash prizes, the winners have been offered the unique opportunity to participate in internships with Excellent faculty members at IIT Hyderabad. This experience will provide them with invaluable insights into advanced research and innovation, further fuelling their passion for science and technology.

 

Celebration of young talent

The “Future Inventors Fair 2024” was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of young talent, innovation, and the boundless possibilities of the future. IITH commitment to nurturing young minds  nd promoting a culture of curiosity and exploration in science and technology was evident throughout the event.

The event drew a large and enthusiastic audience, including educators, parents, and industry professionals, all eager to witness the remarkable talents of the participants. The exhibition offered a glimpse into the future of innovation, as envisioned by these young minds, and served as an inspiration to all attendees.

Prof. B.S. Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad Congratulated the winners and said: “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all participants and winners and look forward to continuing its mission of fostering innovation and excellence in the years to come.
