MP Santosh calls for plastic free KCR Eco Urban Park

BRS Rajya Sabha MP and Green India Challenge founder J Santosh Kumar has called for removing all plastic material from the KCR Eco Urban Park that has come up on the outskirts of Mahabubnagar district headquarters.  The MP along with Telangana Tourism and Culture Minister Dr V Srinivas Goud launched the jungle safari and performed Bhumi Puja for a birds enclosure on the park on October 2, Monday.

Incidentally, this is considered as the world’s largest urban ecological park and the upcoming jungle safari on an an expanse of 26,000 acres is the country’s largest of such facility. Dr Srinivas Goud, who is also the local MLA said it was a matter of happiness to have inaugurated this KCR Eco Urban park through the hands of MP Santosh Kumar whose Green India campaign has generated nation-wide attention to the cause of greenery and environment.

On the occasion, both Santosh and Srinivas Goud flagged off to two safari vehicles, modeled on Discovery Channel, that would be used to take visitors in the forest.  They spoke to the media from a watch tower, the highest point in the park, and said that soon this place would become a major tourist attraction in not just Telangana, but from far and wide.

 

“Let’s fight plastic menace”:  Santosh

MP Santosh said everyone should make efforts to remove plastic materials from public places as they have become a menace to humans, animals and environment.  “Let’s make this KCR Eco Urban Park plastic free so that it would become a model for all other parks in the state,” he said.  The MP assured his help and good offices for further development of the park. Several local leaders too were with them on the occasion.

Thrilled to be part of this inauguration where we flagged off special and safe vehicles for jungle safari and laid foundation stone for teh walk in bird aviary on 1.5 acres within KCR Eco Urban Park, on our 26,000 acres of Reserve forest at Appanapally, Mahabubnagar, along with Minister @VSrinivasGoud,” said Santosh on X.
