MP Santosh launches GIC’s Seed Ganesha campaign

In an initiative to bring down water pollution in the upcoming Vinayaka Chavithi Navarathri celebrations, BRS Rajya Sabha MP and Green India Challenge founder Joginipalli Santosh Kumar launched a Seed Ganesha campaign. He commenced distribution of Seed Ganesha idols at an event held at Nexus Hyderabad Mall, Phase 06 of KPHB Colony, Hyderabad on September 3, Sunday,6 pm.

“Response from people will be overwhelming when our resolve is remarkable”, Green India Challenge head and MP J Santosh Kumar said. Under the banner of Green India, Santosh distributed seed Ganesh idols to children. Made of mud and clay, these Ganesha idols embedded with grain seeds will not just meltdown in earth, but also sprout green shoots later. It’s very educative and entertaining to our children. 

 

Four years long effort

Santosh said that , since Children adored Ganesh festival, Green India Challenge started distributing seed Ganesh idols to the devout four years ago with a great cause to conserve environment. The big initiative drew great response from people and children are asking for more seed idols. These seed Ganesha, innovative idols have been popularized by GIC for the last four years.


” It is a very happy occasion that children participated in seed Ganesh idol distribution programme and expressed their enthusiasm to join such a big social programme taken up by Green India Challenge”, Santosh said.

Child artist from blockbuster Pushpa movie Druvan said ” I am very happy to participate in the seed idols distribution programme. I am very inspired by the distribution of Ganesh idols with seed on the eve of must lovable Ganesh festival”. everyone should install seed Ganesh in their home and plant saplings. Children from different parts of the city also participated.
