Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s call for “Koti Vriksharchana” (planting of one core saplings) on the occasion of conclusion of Indian Independence golden jubilee celebrations evoked huge response on August 26, Saturday. BRS MP and Green India Challenge founder MP J Santosh Kumar led the green activists and people in these celebrations which took place all over the state.
MP Santosh participated in an event to mark this occasion at sapling plantation at Forest Track Park, at Manchirevula village on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Saturday. Environment Minister Indrakaran Reddy, Education Minister P Sabita Reddy, Mines, Information & Public Relations Minister P Mahender Reddy, MP Ranjith Reddy, and MLAs Kale Yadaiah, Prakash Goud and Pilot Rohit Reddy and Chief Secretary Santi Kumari, IAS were present.
Forest development corporation chairman Vanteru Pratap Reddy and Teegala Anitha too joined the occasion. The event looked like a festival as common public participated with enthusiasm. The golden jubilee of Indian Independence Day’s year long celebrations wrapped up in a fitting manner by spreading greenery – a cause dearer to the heart of CM KCR, said Santosh.
Captivating scenes of Hyderabad
Santosh also tweeted pictures of Hyderabad city from a view point on Saturday, saying it’s beautiful landscape has changed since recently, thank to the vision and efforts of CM KCR. “Marveling the captivating scenes of our own #Hyderabad city, a harmonious blend of urban allure and abundant greenery that embodies the spirit of the Manhattan of Hyderabad, under the stewardship of Sri #KCR,” said Santosh.
