BRS Rajya Sabha  MP and Green India Challenge founder J Santosh Kumar this Sunday, August 6, posted on X his pics at Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, Tughlakabad, New Delhi. Santosh has been posting photos of nature and wildlife every Sunday as part of his #WeeklyDoseofPhotography This time he shared his pics at Asola Bhatti Wildelife Sanctuary last week.

“Had an amazing experience visiting the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary! Kodus to the Delhi government for their unwavering commitment to conserving our ecosystem. Admits the urban sprawl, this 37.74 sq km sanctuary stands as a haven of biodiversity, a testament to responsible governance. Let’s applaud their dedication to preserving this lush lung space that revitalizes Delhi’s air quality and offer a serene escape for both residents and wildlife,” said Santosh, in the post.

Not many of us know that there is a wildlife sanctuary in the heart of New Delhi, which looks like  concrete jungle with carbon emitting automobiles and polluting factories. Seems like a must visit for all who go to Delhi on various purposes, if we find sometime in between. “Discover the awe inspiring wonders of the #AsolaWildlifeSancatuary, where numerous trails await explorers for an unforgettable journey,” said Santosh on X.

8 Leopards, 240 bird species

This Asola wildlife sanctuary is home to as many as 240 bird species and 8 leopards, according to the MP. And what? 80 beautiful butterflies and some Neelgiris too, can be seen here. Santosh tells us to go there and promises it will leave us mesmerized for its wildlife paradise!  His postings got huge response – with by 12.30 pm, 2,195 views,173 likes and 46 retweets
