Sebastian Pinera dies in helicopter crash

Former President of Chile Sebastian Pinera (74) died in a helicopter accident. This matter was confirmed by the representatives of Sebastian’s office. He was traveling in a helicopter along with four other people on Tuesday evening when it crashed.

While Pinera died in the accident, others were seriously injured. The Chilean Army announced that Pinera’s body had been recovered. Pinera, who belongs to the Conservative Party, served as the President of Chile for the first time from 2010 to 2014 and for the second time from 2018 to 2023.

Billionaire Sebastian Piera is one of the richest people in Chile. Many heads of state in South America as well as around the world have expressed their condolences on his death.
