Sindhu’s would-be is an adventure sports enthusiast!

Olympic medalist and India’s great badminton star PV Sindhu’s would-be husband Sai Venkata Datta is an adventure sports enthusiast, if not a sport  personality. Sindhu’s father PV Ramana on December 3, Tuesday confirmed to media about their marriage plans-  destination wedding will take place at Udaipur, Rajasthan, on December 21 and a reception will be hosted in Hyderabad on December 24. This wedding is expected to be a national news in the next three weeks.

But, very little is known to the outside world about Sindhu’s would-be – Sai Venkata Datta Gourelli. For his close circle of friends, Sai Datta is known as a person of many hats. A key position at Posidex Technologies, a Hyderabad based tech solutions company that was founded by his father Gourelli Tirumala Venkateswar Rao. Venkateswar Rao, a former Income Tax officer from IRS. Sai Datta’s mother is Lakshmi. But, Sai Datta is well known among his friends and circles as a motor sports person and a road tripper.

Sai leads his teams on dirt-biking and motor trekking etc,. People who know him closely shared with Excel India that Sai Datta owns about a dozen super bikes and some sports cars too. In fact, his Instagram handle takes us to @theGatewayBoy page where we can see some of his road trips with friends. We picked some more backgrounder of Sai Datta – he is grandson of retired Hyderabad High Court judge Justice U Bhaskar Rao, father of Sai’s mother.

Bhaskar Rao is a younger brother of late former CPI MLA from Munugode (Nalgonda district) Ujjini Narayan Rao. Sai Datta’s family can be considered to be super rich, in Hyderabad standards. We are told that Sindhu’s father Ramana has taken initiative in settling the match, though Sindhu and Sai Datta were friends for sometime. Recently, Sindhu unveiled the new logo of Posidex Technologies, a IT solutions company that specializes in data privacy, basically on B2B levels. Posidex was launched in 2003.

 

Liberal arts to tech education

Sai Datta’s education is interesting. He studied liberal arts and then moved on to technology courses from IIIT Bangalore. Now he basically is involved in his family owned Posidex – that supplies inputs financial institutions on data of individuals and entities for sanctioning loans. Both Sindhu and Sai Datta were seeing each other for sometime after they met at various places, within and outside India. Elders of both the families have given their blessings to this marriage.

Sindhu, now 29, is a national and international level sports personality.  She has a lot more sports in her career. She has a Group-1 job in AP government and has plans to set up her own badminton academies in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. Height wise, she is 5.11 ft and Sai Datta is said to be a little shorter or of the same height and is of around the same age. But, Sai Datta is stated to be buying a grand villa to his would be wife – in Kokapet/Manchirevula on the western Hyderabad.

A source told Excel India that the villa will be spacious of around 1,000 sq yards and of 10,000 builtup area. But, Sindhu deserves it. Sai Datta is proving his love for his would be. That’s great and nice.
