Renowned investment banker, financial entrepreneur Sudhakar Gande called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Hyderabad on December 28, Thursday and expressed his desire to join BJP. Shah welcomed him into the party with a smile. A formal joining of BJP by Sudhakar Gande will take place in next few days. Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy and senior BJP leader Etela Rajender too were present when Gande met Shah.
Sudhakar Gande, chairman of US India SME Council, is a leading functionary of many business and economy forums in the country and operates from Hyderabad, Bangalore and other cities in India. He hails from Warangal, Telangana and his father Prof Lakshmi Narayana Gande, is former Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad
Sudhakar Gane earlier worked as MD of Global Trust Bank and now holds senior management positions in many finance and technology companies. An alumni of IIT Delhi, he holds MBA and other degrees from both Indian and the US schools and colleges. He is also associated with several charity organisations and is into social activities to empower women and other vulnerable sections of society.
Amit Shah is in Hyderabad on Thursday to review BJP’s performance in recent Telangana assembly elections and also to gear up the party machinery for the coming Lok Sabha elections. The HM visited the Bhagya Lakshmi temple at Charminar in the Old city of Hyderabad and performed Pujas. Later, he reviewed the party activities with all senior leaders in detail. Shah is expected to come to Hyderabad several times in the coming days.

Sudhakar Gande later talking to Excel India said: “I want to serve the nation by joining BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, HM Amit Shah and party national president JP Nadda“. Even before joining the party, Sudhakar has organised several meetings in support of some of BJP’s assembly candidates in Hyderabad and around. He organised many professional and community organisations in support of BJP.
Sources close to him said that Sudhakar is likely to contest from one of seats in Telangana in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
