Telangana Forest Development Corporation, Botanical Garden Kondapur and Forestrek Park Narsingi, Hyderabad has added some more attractions. This is expected to not just to boost tourism, but also enhance biodiversity to the eco-tourism projects.
Telangana Forest Development Corporation led by Vice Chairman and Managing Director Dr. G. Chandrasekhar Reddy IFS, on September 20 released small (baby) fishes/ hatchlings 7,000 fish fry in the Botanical Garden Boating Pond, 8,000 fish in the Night Safari Pond, 6,000 fish in the Pala Pitta Cycling Park Pond and 11,000 fish in the large pond and 6,000 in small pond at Forest Trek Park.
And these fishes are 4 types.In this fishes Gold wire fish, catla fish, Indian salmon or rawas and Grass carp fishes were there, said a press release.
By releasing fish in ponds in the parks, the parks become habitats for many species of birds, thereby increasing biodiversity. Earlier, in the botanical garden, in the night safari, in the Pala pitta cycling park and in the forest trek park, many kinds of birds are living in the respective parks.
And when it comes to the bird species in this park, barbet, Asiatic koel,There are rare birds like malkova, aora, black drongo, wood sand piper, shikra, Indian robin, purple sun bird, wood peckers, parakeets, mini vets etc. and tjey use to live on red sandalwood, kadamba, bamboo, Syzygium, Terminalia arjuna, mahogani, Miyawaki forest, cassia fistula on such trees, in that way the park ponds and trees are useful for birds to create its habitat for birds. Telangana Forest Development Corporation General Manager Dr. Gilakathula Skylab released those fishes in Botanical Garden, Night Safari and Pala Pitta Cycling Park and in Forestrek Park at Narsingi Plantation Manager Vemi Reddy Lakshma Reddy and F. R. O. Samineni Srinivas were released the fishes and the respective park walkers accompanied with them.
