India’s largest home-grown video streaming platform and a multilingual storyteller, is thrilled to announce the digital premiere of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Gaami.’ Following its theatrical success, this visually stunning Telugu film is all set to entertain audiences starting April 12 in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada only on ZEE5.

Produced by Karthik Kult Kreations, presented by V Celluloid and written and directed by debutant Vidyadhar Kagita, Gaami stars Vishwak Sen, Chandini Chowdary, Abhinaya, Harika Pedada, and Mohammad Samad in pivotal roles.

An emotional tale and a stunning cinematic experience come together seamlessly in debut director Vidyadhar Kagita’s Telugu film ‘Gaami’. Anchored by Vishwak Sen and Chandini Chowdary’s impressive performances, this anthology explores the triumph of the human spirit, making it a rewarding watch with enough substance.

In addition to being a true visual spectacle, the film also manages to beautifully trigger a dialogue about humanity, nature, the need for compassion, and the catastrophic results of mankind’s efforts to alter nature, said a press release from ZEE5.

Journey of Aghora

Gaami chronicles the journey of Shankar (Vishwak Sen), an aghora afflicted by a rare condition that makes it impossible for him to feel the human touch. Driven by a desperate need for cure, he goes on a quest for the elusive Maalipatra, a mystical mushroom blooming once every 36 years atop Dronagiri mountain.

Along his path, Shankar encounters Jahnavi (Chandini Chowdary), a microbiologist with a similar mission. Their intertwined destinies lead them through the breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas. Against this majestic backdrop, the film seamlessly integrates the southern Devadasi tradition with the rugged northern landscapes, exploring Indian culture’s lesser-known facets. Will their journey lead them to the answers they seek? Find out on April 12 as the film premieres on ZEE5 in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer at ZEE5 India said“Soon after delighting our audience with the Telugu premier of Hanu-Man, we at ZEE5 are excited to bring forth another theatrical blockbuster, Gaami and entertain our audience across Telugu, Tamil and Kannada regions.
