Hyderabad: For the thirteenth consecutive year, CARE Hospitals, one of India’s leading healthcare providers, proudly served as the official medical partner for the highly successful NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2024. This year’s marathon, held on August 25th, saw an unprecedented turnout of over 27,000 runners, nearly double the number from previous years, underscoring the rising emphasis on fitness and wellness among Hyderabad’s citizens.
As the official medical partner, CARE Hospitals deployed a comprehensive healthcare solutions approach to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. This included the deployment of 24 strategically located first aid stations along the marathon route, one at every kilometre. Additionally, a state-of-the-art mobile medical unit staffed with paramedics was stationed along the course, extending from People’s Plaza on Necklace Road to a fully equipped 15-bed Medical Centre at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli. The event was supported by a dedicated team of medical professionals, led by Dr. P. Shiva Kumar, Head of the Emergency Department, Dr. Ritesh, Emergency Care Specialist, and Dr. Abdul Nafeh, Head of Operations, who ensured that every participant received the highest level of care.
Mr. Jasdeep Singh, Group CEO of CARE Hospitals, stated, “We are delighted and proud to play a pivotal role in an event that significantly contributes to promoting health and wellness in Hyderabad. The overwhelming participation is a strong affirmation of our commitment to not only treating illness but also to fostering a culture of wellness and disease prevention.
This marathon provided us with an excellent platform to extend our healthcare services beyond the hospital walls, directly contributing to the well-being of our community.”
Mr. Shalabh Dang, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, CARE Group of Hospitals said, “Our preparations for the marathon began over a month ago, with a large team of paramedics, doctors, and rapid response units, including ambulances and life-saving equipment, meticulously deployed for the event. Through multiple briefing sessions, we ensured that all medical and manpower arrangements were seamlessly coordinated. We are pleased that the event was executed smoothly, and we were able to provide critical care to those in need.”
This initiative reflects CARE Hospitals’ broader mission to be a leader in healthcare, not only through treatment but also by proactively promoting health and wellness in the communities it serves.
