All set for the conduct of seminar on “CM KCR Vision: Palamuru University Growth” at Central Library Auditorium on Palamuru University Campus, Mahabubnagar, from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm on April 13, Wednesday.
Telangana Sports, Tourism, Culture & Excise Minister Dr V Srinivas Goud, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy and State Planning Board Vice-Chairman B Vinod Kumar and Mababubnagar MP M Srinivas Reddy are the chief guests.
From academics side, Telangana State Council of Higher Education Prof R Limbadri, former chairman Prof Papi Reddy, Vice-Chairman Prof Venkata Ramana, Sports Authority of Telangana Alleepuram Venkateswar Reddy will grace the occasion.
Ubuntu Trust Chairman T Chiranjeevulu, IAS (Retd), Dr Vijay Kumar Gupta, doyen of electronics manufacturing industry will be the main speakers. University VC Prof LB Laxmikanth Rathod will preside over.
Excel India Chief Editor Rama Krishna Sangem will introduce the seminar purpose to the gathering while our editorial board director Bhaskar Tatikonda will coordinate the seminar. District Collector B Venkat Rao will deliver his speech on the growth of Palamuru University in the coming days.
The seminar will felicitate former PU registrar Prof G Manoja who retired from service on October 30, last year for her services. Also felicitated on the occasion are: G Maheswari, athlete and Dronacharya awardee N Ramesh. University Registrar Prof Pindi Pavan Kumar will make a presentation on the university’s recent achievements,while Dr D Madhusudhan Reddy, OSD to VC will present Way-Forward and Vote of Thanks.
Palamuru University with a beautiful campus of around 120 ares and with swanky buildings has potential to emerge as a major public varsity in Telangana, if right financial and academic push from the State and central governments. This university serves the vast area of erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, which is now made into several districts.
As CM KCR has decided to fill all teaching and non-teaching poss soon, the PU will definitely become stronger in faculty and the quality of teaching here will go up.
Prof Rathod, with his energetic efforts is already on the process of attracting funds from various sources and he is sure to ensure more projects to the university. The teaching, non teaching staff and many students are expected to participate in the seminar.
