His induction into the Cabinet of CM Chandrasekhar Rao has not just enthused supporters and followers of Mahender Reddy from Ranga Reddy district, but also the leaders all over the state as it brought some josh to the ruling party.

On August 31, Thursday, Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali and Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy were among those who called on Mahender Reddy at his chambers in Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat in Hyderabad. BRS MLA from Munugode Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy too was among those who called on the mines minister and greeted on his induction into the Cabinet.

Minister Mahmood Ali felicitated Mahender Reddy by offering a shawl and a bouquet. Indrakaran Reddy wished Mahender Reddy all the best in his mission to strengthen the ruling party in Ranga Reddy district and adjoining areas. As Mahender is from a family with political background, he enjoys greater popularity in his district. His late uncle and former minister P Indra Reddy paved the way for Mahender’s political entry four decades ago.

Mahender is related to Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, while his brother Patnam Narender Reddy is BRS MLA from Kodandal and his wife Sunitha Reddy is chairperson of Vikarabad zilla parishad. Even on his oath taking day too, huge number of followers from Ranga Reddy district came to greet Mahender Reddy.
