Egyptian goose are originally from Africa, but they spread to northwards, up to Germany. In early days, people used to keep these mostly terrestrial birds in rivers, ponds and lakes as ornamental life. Over the time,, their population grew phenomenally. In most European countries, they are commonly sighted in water bodies. These birds thrive on seeds, nuts, small locust and worms.
Can we hope to see such a bird photo on the banks of our Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad sometimes soon?
