The occasion was graced by Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, as the Chief Guest. He delivered the Foundation Day Lecture, providing valuable insights into the transformative impact of emerging technologies and the challenges that lie ahead in India’s technological growth trajectory. He highlighted the institute’s remarkable journey since its inception. On this occasion, IITH and the United Nations University – Centre for Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance research and innovation in sustainable development, climate resilience, and governance. This collaboration aims to harness UNU’s policy research expertise and IITH’s technological leadership to drive impactful solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
By fostering regional integration, capacity building, and knowledge exchange, this partnership will contribute to transformative advancements that benefit communities locally and globally.
